Refrigerated van on a JAC N200 chassis

category Cbody up to 9.5 mup to 58 m³
⚖ payload up to 13.5 t↔ body 6.2 / 8.2 / 9.5 m

The flagship of the JAC range for a large refrigerated body. The N200 has a Cummins ISD285 with 271 hp and 1,006 N·m, an eight-speed manual, a 19,980 kg gross weight and up to 13.5 tonnes of payload. Three wheelbases give three body lengths — 6.2, 8.2 and 9.5 metres, or 38 to 58 m³ under refrigeration.

About the photographs. There is no finished JAC N200 reefer in our portfolio yet: the photographs show an N200 chassis with our body and a refrigerated van on a JAC N120 — the body and the refrigeration unit are the same, only the chassis differs. Every frame is captioned.

Three wheelbases — three body lengths

The JAC N200 comes with a wheelbase of 4,200, 5,300 or 6,200 mm. The wheelbase decides what body length will fit without overloading the rear axle:

WheelbaseBody lengthVolume (2.5 × 2.6 m inside)
4,200 mm6.2 m≈38 m³
5,300 mm8.2 m≈50 m³
6,200 mm9.5 m≈58 m³

The usable body length is the wheelbase plus the rear overhang within the axle-load allowance. We fix the exact length for your wheelbase with an axle-load calculation: rear-axle overload on a long body is the most common reason a truck fails a weighbridge check.

Who a JAC N200 reefer suits

A JAC N200 refrigerated van is chosen when the load needs volume rather than cold: appliances, furniture, packaging, paper, boxed building materials, groupage. A 9.5 m body takes 15–16 Euro pallets in a single tier, and the truck stays two-axle: cheaper to run and easier to staff than a three-axle.

The Cummins ISD285 delivers 1,006 N·m from 1,200 rpm — on the highway with a full body the truck holds its speed without constant shifting. Air brakes with ABS and an eight-speed gearbox: the long Almaty — Astana leg is an easy run for it.

Body

A 50, 80 or 100 mm sandwich panel of our own manufacture, frameless — no thermal bridges along the ribs. On long bodies we take the thickness towards the upper end: the greater the wall area, the more the insulation matters. Rear swing doors, a side door on request. The floor is chequered aluminium and the inner lining is continuous so a pallet cannot tear the wall.

For refrigeration the body is built thicker: an 80–100 mm panel against 50–60 mm on an insulated one. If cold is needed later, the body takes a unit and becomes a refrigerated van — the van itself does not need rebuilding.

How this body is built

The project is based on a JAC N200 chassis. The engine is Cummins ISD285 50 diesel, Euro 5, 271 hp. Gross weight 19,980 kg, so the driver needs a category C licence.

This is a refrigerated van — an insulated body with a refrigeration unit; externally the body is 6.2 / 8.2 / 9.5 m — to suit the wheelbase. That leaves up to 2.5 m wide, up to 2.6 m high inside: the panel thickness is subtracted on every side, floor and ceiling included.

Doors: rear swing doors, a side door on request.

The refrigeration unit is chosen for the volume: Carrier Citimax 1000 or Supra, Elinge S5 max. Operating range: chosen for the load — chilling or freezing.

Why it is built this way

A side door changes distribution logistics: at each stop you open it rather than the whole rear portal — less cold escapes and the truck can park tight against its neighbour.

We will build the same — to your size and your chassis

This body is not a catalogue item but a project we actually built. We will make the same one to your dimensions: length, width and height are calculated for your cargo and the chassis payload, rather than fitting the cargo to a ready-made size.

We also fit it to your own chassis: bring the vehicle, we take the frame dimensions, build the body, mount it and hand it over with the conversion paperwork.

If you are still choosing a chassis, we have the same body on other bases as well: Chevrolet Labo, DongFeng C31, FAW 1027, GAZelle Business 3302. They differ in payload, frame length and licence category.

FAQ

FAQ about the JAC N200 refrigerated van

There is no finished one in the portfolio yet — we build to order. The photographs show a JAC N200 chassis with our body and a refrigerated van on a JAC N120: the body, the panel and the refrigeration unit are the same, only the chassis differs.
Three wheelbases give three body lengths: 4,200 mm → 6.2 m and about 38 m³, 5,300 mm → 8.2 m and about 50 m³, 6,200 mm → 9.5 m and about 58 m³. Calculated at 2.5 × 2.6 m internally.
For 38–58 m³ the larger models apply: a Carrier Citimax 1000, a Supra with its own diesel, or an Elinj S5 max. We pick the exact one by mode and volume — a unit’s limit is always quoted as a pair of temperature and volume.
By the unit and the panel thickness: 80–100 mm on a refrigerated body against 50–60 mm on an isothermal one, plus the refrigeration unit itself. An isothermal body is lighter and cheaper but produces no cold — it only slows the warming of goods loaded cold.
Category C: a gross weight of 19,980 kg. This is the long-haul class, with up to 13.5 tonnes of payload.
We price by configuration: body length, panel thickness, refrigeration unit model, doors and fittings. Leave a request or write on WhatsApp and we will send the calculation. COND does not publish prices for bodies.
COND is a factory with its own WMI manufacturer code, so we issue the full set of conversion paperwork and the entry in the vehicle passport.
