A plate filled with eutectic solution freezes overnight from a 380 V mains supply while parked. A three-phase socket is required at the parking site.
The frozen solution melts and absorbs heat — the body holds its duty for the whole shift.
Doors open dozens of times a day — unlike a refrigeration unit, the plates do not mind.
No compressor and no diesel burned en route — savings, and you can work in quiet zones.
The number and size of the plates are calculated for the body volume, the temperature range and the length of the shift.
The plates are mounted on the ceiling or the walls, and the fixing points are reinforced with inserts.
These are one and the same product under three names — they turn up both in classified ads and in specifications, so it is worth separating them.

A plate does not produce cold on the road — it gives it out. The body must therefore be insulated: in an uninsulated van the store will not last even half a shift.

The plates are made to the size of the particular body.
A eutectic system costs more to buy than a conventional refrigerated van. In return there is no fuel consumption on the run and no compressor working and wearing out on the road.
