What a sliding tarpaulin gives you

A the side platform is loaded from above or through the tailgate. A sliding tarpaulin opens the entire side: the tarpaulin moves to the cab, the sides drop, and a forklift or a person places a pallet anywhere on the platform. That changes loading time at the ramp and lets you carry long loads that will not go in through the tailgate.

The frame is galvanised profile — the zinc holds at cut edges too, so the rim does not start rusting after the first knock from cargo. PVC fabric at 650 g/m² does not stretch out as fast as light 500 g/m² tarpaulins and stays more supple in the cold.

We make the same tarpaulin for other chassis too.

FAQ

What is included in the price?

A galvanised profile frame, 650 g/m² PVC fabric and fitting to your the side platform. The chassis stays yours — we neither sell nor replace it.

Why is the frame galvanised rather than painted?

Zinc protects the metal inside and out, including cut and welded areas. Painted mild steel starts rusting from the first chip, and a tarpaulin frame gets knocked by cargo every day.

What does 650 g/m² mean?

It is the weight of a square metre of fabric. Light tarpaulins use 500 g/m² PVC — cheaper, but they stretch and sag sooner. 650 g/m² holds tension along the whole side and stays more supple in the cold.

Can the tarpaulin be fitted to another chassis?

Yes. The frame is made to the size of the platform, so it also fits a medium-duty truck. The price is then worked out separately — tell us the dimensions of the side.
