Twelve types of superstructure — for temperature-controlled cargo, for dry freight and for open haulage.
Panel thickness is chosen to suit the range: 50 mm for chilling, 80 mm for −10 °C, 100 mm for freezing.
Not sure which type you need: Types of van body — what exists and how to choose
From the survey to handing over the vehicle — five steps, each with something in your hands at the end.
We look at the chassis: frame length, overhangs, subframe height, where the tank and spare wheel sit. We establish the cargo, the temperature range and how it is loaded and unloaded. The internal dimensions follow from that, not the other way round: the task first, the dimensions after.
The design office works the body out from the survey: dimensions, volume, pallet layout, equipment list and axle load distribution. You get a specification showing exactly what goes into the vehicle — and the price is calculated from it.
We make the panels, the profile and most of the hardware ourselves, so we are not waiting on deliveries for every order. Frame, skin, floor, doors and seals are assembled in the shop, and the subframe is fitted to the particular chassis frame.
Refrigeration unit, tail lift, side guard, lighting, lashing hardware. The unit we fit is the one matched to volume and temperature range, not whatever is in stock — and the manufacturer's chassis warranty stays intact.
We hand over the document set for the body and its equipment — with it the vehicle is accepted for registering the changes in its papers. Without that entry the actual build differs from the registered one, and questions come up at the test station, on sale and at the roadside.

We price from the specification — there is no meaningful average, but the factors are known.
At the same dimensions a dry-freight body is cheaper than an insulated one, and a refrigerated body costs more than both by the price of the unit. Panel thickness drags along not only material cost but usable volume: a body 2 400 mm wide outside leaves 2 200 mm inside with a 100 mm panel.
The body length sets the wheelbase required, and the gross weight sets the licence category: up to 3 500 kg category B is enough, above that you need C. A 6.2 m body will not sit on a short wheelbase, and trying to stretch it on a subframe runs into axle load limits.
Refrigeration unit, tail lift, side door, sliding tarpaulin, lashing tracks, meat rails — every item shows up in both the price and the lead time. A tail lift also eats payload, so it goes into the calculation from the start rather than at the end.

The design office prices from the specification: it depends on the body type, the dimensions, the panel thickness, the chassis and the equipment fitted — refrigeration unit, tail lift, side door. There is no ready average, because two bodies of the same length can differ twofold. Send us the chassis and the task and we will price your configuration.
Any truck chassis: GAZelle, GAZon, JAC, Kia Bongo, Hyundai, Foton, FAW, Hino, Isuzu, Iveco, KamAZ, Shacman, HOWO, Mercedes. The body is designed around the particular frame — from measurements of length, overhangs and component positions — so the make is not a limitation.
Yes. We remove the old superstructure, inspect the frame and fit a new subframe if needed. This is routine work: often the chassis is already there while the body has served its time or no longer suits the cargo.
A document set for the body and the equipment fitted. With it the vehicle is accepted for registering the change of construction and the entry is made in its papers. The roadworthiness test itself is done at an accredited station — we do not carry it out.
Yes, provided the installation does not touch the assemblies covered by the chassis maker's warranty. Mounting goes through the subframe to the standard points on the frame, with no welding on the chassis rails.
Tell us the chassis, the cargo and the temperature range — the design office will price the body and give you a lead time.
