Quote is based on body, chassis and temperature range.
GAZelle Next and GAZon Next are the most common chassis for urban logistics in Kazakhstan: a wide service network, affordable parts and a low loading height make them convenient for daily distribution. We fit almost the whole model range on GAZ — from a dry-freight van to a refrigerator and a bread van.
The GAZelle is a light truck, colloquially a “mini-truck” or “one-and-a-half-tonner”: up to 1.5 tonnes of load with dimensions handy for daily city delivery.
Both chassis fall into category B and take a body of 3.2 or 4.2 metres. Here is where the difference is and where there is none.
| Parameter | GAZelle Business | GAZelle Next |
|---|---|---|
| Engine | UMZ A275 (Evotech 2.7), 106.8 hp | Evotech 2,7 (A275), 106.8 hp |
| Torque | 220 N·m | 220 N·m |
| Gearbox | manual, 5-speed | manual, 5-speed |
| Gross weight | 3,500 kg | 3,500 kg |
| Payload | 1,500 kg | 1,500 kg |
| Licence category | B | B |
| Wheelbase | 2,900 mm (3302) / 3,500 mm (330202) | mounting length 3,200 mm (A21R23) / 4,200 mm (A21R33) |
| COND body length | 3.2 m on the 2,900 wheelbase / 4.2 m on the 3,500 | 3.2 m / 4.2 m |
| Brakes | — | disc, dual-circuit, ABS |
| Chassis warranty | — | 3 years or 200,000 km |
The engine, gross weight, payload and licence category are the same on both, so this does not affect the choice of body: a 3.2 or 4.2 metre body fits either, and the usable volume comes out the same. The difference is in the chassis itself: the Next is listed with disc brakes and ABS and a 3-year or 200,000 km warranty, while for the Business these figures are not given in the specifications, and the wheelbases are stated explicitly — 2,900 mm on the 3302 and 3,500 mm on the 330202.
A practical rule: the body length sets the wheelbase, not the other way round. A 4.2-metre body does not fit a short wheelbase, so a 330202 or a Next with a 4,200 mm mounting length is used for it. A dash in the table means the value is not stated in the chassis specifications, not that it does not exist.
