Dry-freight body on a GAZelle Next A21R35 (4.2 m) with LPG

category BLPG, propane4.2 m bodyinternal height 2,450 mm

The GAZelle Next is spelled in several ways in Russian-language ads and searches. It is one and the same vehicle.

▣ volume 20.8 m³⚖ payload 1,500 kg8 europallets

A dry van on the long-wheelbase GAZelle Next: a 4,200 × 2,100 × 2,500 mm body, 20.8 m³ usable — eight europallets in a single tier. An external height of 2.5 m gives 2,450 mm inside: boxes stack three or four high and a person works upright. The truck runs on LPG — for daily city distribution fuel is the main cost. A category B licence.

How this body is built

The body is built on a GAZelle Next A21R35, 3,745 mm wheelbase chassis with a 3,745 mm wheelbase. Gross weight 3,500 kg — a category B licence is enough.

This is a dry-freight (non-insulated) body; externally the body is 4,200 × 2,100 × 2,500 mm. That leaves 4,150 × 2,050 × 2,450 mm, 25 mm panel inside: the panel thickness is subtracted on every side, floor and ceiling included. Usable volume is 20.8 m³, counted from the internal dimensions rather than by multiplying the external ones. In a single tier that is 8 europallets.

The interior lining is white pre-painted steel. The floor is transport plywood. Doors: hinged rear, folding step.

Why it is built this way

Laminated transport plywood is lighter than metal, does not rattle under boxes and resists moisture thanks to its coating. A sensible floor for boxed cargo; daily trolley work calls for aluminium.

What is in the photos

  • The whole vehicle, front three-quarter view
  • The body from the rear and side, hinged doors
  • Inside: white clad metal lining, ribbed aluminium skirting
  • LPG equipment, a propane cylinder under the body

Who it suits

A dry van is about volume and protection rather than temperature: furniture, appliances, building materials, boxed goods, removals. The cargo is shut away from rain, dust and prying eyes. Usable volume here is 20.8 m³ — the block above estimates the load in pallets.

We will build the same — to your size and your chassis

This body is not a catalogue item but a project we actually built. We will make the same one to your dimensions: length, width and height are calculated for your cargo and the chassis payload, rather than fitting the cargo to a ready-made size.

We also fit it to your own chassis: bring the vehicle, we take the frame dimensions, build the body, mount it and hand it over with the conversion paperwork.

If you are still choosing a chassis, we have the same body on other bases as well: Foton Aumark (4.2 m), HINO 300 (side opening), Iveco Daily 50C15, JAC N120. They differ in payload, frame length and licence category.

How many pallets fit

A standard 1,200 × 800 mm europallet, single tier, no restacking. Internal dimensions with a 50 mm laying allowance — a pallet will not go in dead tight.

8europallets 1,200 × 800 mm

Inside 4 150 × 2 050 × 2 450 mm · 20.8 m³

The layout scheme is on the right: it shows how the rows sit and how much room is left.

FAQ

FAQ about the dry-freight body on the GAZelle Next A21R35

Eight europallets in a single tier. The layout is mixed: one row stands with the long side across the body — five of those fit along the length — and the remaining 800 mm of width takes a second row turned 90°, three more. Usable volume 20.8 m³.
In height: 2,500 mm external against 2,100 mm. Inside that is 2,450 mm instead of 2,050 — 400 mm more, so one more tier of boxes and a rise from 17.4 to 20.8 m³ at the same length.
It is steel sheet with a factory polymer coating: smooth, light-coloured, easy to wash and odour-free. It is often confused with FRP — they look alike from outside but are different materials. Here clad metal was fitted at the customer’s request.
The skirting is a protective strip along the bottom of the walls and the door aperture. It takes the knocks from trolleys and pallet corners, so it is made of ribbed aluminium: it does not rust and does not dent the way lining sheet does.
Laminated transport plywood resists moisture and wear, does not rattle and is lighter than metal — enough for a dry-freight body. If you move trolleys every day, we fit ribbed aluminium instead.
