Dry-freight van on an Iveco Daily 70C15 chassis

category C6,200 mm bodyside door
↔ body 6,200 × 2,400 × 2,500 mm🚪 side door

Dry-freight body on an Italian distribution chassis: a 6.2-metre body, 2.4 m wide and 2.5 m high over the outside — for furniture, appliances and boxes. There is no temperature range, so the full height works as usable volume. On the right-hand side there is side door: part of the load comes out without opening the rear portal or shifting the rest. Full-width hinged doors at the rear and side underrun protection along both sides.

New Iveco Daily are not currently supplied to Kazakhstan, so we do not build a turnkey truck on this make. If you already have an Iveco we will fit the body to it; our other chassis are in “Vehicles” section.

More about the design on the page dry-freight bodies. We build the same body as an insulated version too — see insulated vans.

How this body is built

The project is based on a Iveco Daily 70C15 (the cab badge reads 70-150) chassis.

This is a dry-freight (non-insulated) body; externally the body is 6,200 × 2,400 × 2,500 mm. That leaves 6,150 × 2,350 × 2,450 mm, 25 mm panel inside: the panel thickness is subtracted on every side, floor and ceiling included. Usable volume is ≈ 35.4 m³ (6,150 × 2,350 × 2,450 mm), counted from the internal dimensions rather than by multiplying the external ones.

Doors: full-width rear hinged doors.

Fitted equipment: side underrun protection, rear underrun bar.

Who it suits

A dry van is about volume and protection rather than temperature: furniture, appliances, building materials, boxed goods, removals. The cargo is shut away from rain, dust and prying eyes. Usable volume here is ≈ 35.4 m³ (6,150 × 2,350 × 2,450 mm) — the block above estimates the load in pallets.

We will build the same — to your size and your chassis

This body is not a catalogue item but a project we actually built. We will make the same one to your dimensions: length, width and height are calculated for your cargo and the chassis payload, rather than fitting the cargo to a ready-made size.

We also fit it to your own chassis: bring the vehicle, we take the frame dimensions, build the body, mount it and hand it over with the conversion paperwork.

If you are still choosing a chassis, we have the same body on other bases as well: Foton Aumark (4.2 m), GAZelle Business 3302, HINO 300 (side opening), JAC N120. They differ in payload, frame length and licence category.

How many pallets fit

A standard 1,200 × 800 mm europallet, single tier, no restacking. Internal dimensions with a 50 mm laying allowance — a pallet will not go in dead tight.

12europallets 1,200 × 800 mm

Inside 6 150 × 2 350 × 2 450 mm · 35,4 m³

The layout scheme is on the right: it shows how the rows sit and how much room is left.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the dry-freight van on an Iveco Daily

It is measured inside, not by multiplying the outer dimensions: the panel thickness comes off 6,200 × 2,400 × 2,500 mm on every side. We give the exact figure for the chosen specification. For furniture and cartons, volume is what matters rather than payload — light bulky freight runs out of cubic metres long before it runs out of tonnes.
To take part of the load out without opening the rear portal or moving the rest. On multi-drop routes it saves minutes at every stop; on long-haul runs it matters less.
The body — yes, the chassis — no. New Iveco Daily trucks are not imported into Kazakhstan. We will build the body onto an Iveco you already own; if the chassis is still to be bought, look at our projects on JAC, Hino and GAZon.
The panel. In a dry-freight body it only has to be strong and rigid; it holds no temperature. An insulated body uses sandwich panel with insulation, costs more and eats into the internal volume.
Category C: the Daily 70C15 has a 7-tonne gross weight, above the 3,500 kg threshold.
Dhollandia tail lifts are fitted to this chassis — a neighbouring vehicle of the same series carries a 1,000 kg lift. The decision is taken before the body is built: a tail lift changes the rear of the frame and the weight distribution.
