How this body is built

The project is based on a JAC N56 chassis with a 3,360 mm wheelbase. The engine is HFC4DE1-1D diesel, Common Rail + SCR, Euro 5, 2,746 cc, 150 hp (110 kW), 355 N·m torque. Gross weight 5,600 kg, so the driver needs a category C licence.

This is a dry-freight (non-insulated) body; externally the body is 4,400 × 2,200 × 2,200 mm. That leaves 4,350 × 2,150 × 2,150 mm, 25 mm panel inside: the panel thickness is subtracted on every side, floor and ceiling included. Usable volume is ≈ 20.1 m³ (4,350 × 2,150 × 2,150 mm), counted from the internal dimensions rather than by multiplying the external ones.

The floor is anti-slip plywood. Doors: rear barn doors, two full-width leaves.

Fitted equipment: reflective contour tape, mudflaps, side guard.

Why it is built this way

Laminated transport plywood is lighter than metal, does not rattle under boxes and resists moisture thanks to its coating. A sensible floor for boxed cargo; daily trolley work calls for aluminium.

Who it suits

A dry van is about volume and protection rather than temperature: furniture, appliances, building materials, boxed goods, removals. The cargo is shut away from rain, dust and prying eyes. Usable volume here is ≈ 20.1 m³ (4,350 × 2,150 × 2,150 mm) — the block above estimates the load in pallets.

We will build the same — to your size and your chassis

This body is not a catalogue item but a project we actually built. We will make the same one to your dimensions: length, width and height are calculated for your cargo and the chassis payload, rather than fitting the cargo to a ready-made size.

We also fit it to your own chassis: bring the vehicle, we take the frame dimensions, build the body, mount it and hand it over with the conversion paperwork.

If you are still choosing a chassis, we have the same body on other bases as well: Foton Aumark (4.2 m), GAZelle Business 3302, HINO 300 (side opening), Iveco Daily 50C15. They differ in payload, frame length and licence category.

How many pallets fit

A standard 1,200 × 800 mm europallet, single tier, no restacking. Internal dimensions with a 50 mm laying allowance — a pallet will not go in dead tight.

8europallets 1,200 × 800 mm

Inside 4 350 × 2 150 × 2 150 mm · 20,1 m³

The layout scheme is on the right: it shows how the rows sit and how much room is left.

FAQ

FAQ about the JAC N56 dry-freight body

Galvanised sheet takes knocks during loading and washes down under pressure — the walls do not swell or delaminate. For dry freight, where a pallet truck runs through every day and boxes go in tight, it outlasts a plywood lining. We fit plywood when weight and price matter more — just say so when ordering.
Yes. The JAC N56 weighs 5,600 kg gross, which is category C. If you need a body on a category B licence, look at vehicles under 3,500 kg: the Shineray T30 and T50, the GAZelle, the JAC N35 or a Kia Bongo.
Chassis payload is 3,445 kg, less the weight of the body. A 2.7-litre diesel with 150 hp and 355 N·m, a six-speed manual and a 3,360 mm wheelbase — a vehicle for the city and the region running fully loaded.
Yes — on the JAC N56 we build insulated, refrigerated and eutectic bodies as well as drop-sides and curtain-siders; they are all in the Vehicles section. The dry-freight body differs in that its panel is thin: it protects the load from rain and dust but does not hold temperature, and a refrigeration unit cannot be fitted to it.
At night and in bad weather the outline of the vehicle is visible from a distance — it is a conspicuity requirement. We apply it around the rear doors and along the sides; together with the mudflaps and the side guard it is standard equipment.
We price by configuration: body length, lining, floor deck, door layout and lighting. Leave a request or write on WhatsApp and we will send a quote. COND does not publish body prices.
COND is a factory with its own WMI manufacturer code, so we issue the full set of conversion paperwork and the entry in the vehicle passport.
