This chassis is out of production. The Hyundai HD78 is out of production and no longer supplied to Kazakhstan — its replacement family is Hyundai Mighty. The project cannot be repeated on the HD78 itself, but we build the same body on the Mighty and other current medium-duty chassis — we will pick a chassis for your volume.
A 5.2-metre dry van: 25 mm sandwich panel, flush sides ready for vinyl, a chequered aluminium floor and full-width barn doors at the rear. This body is chosen for pallet and carton delivery, where volume and flat walls without protruding ribs matter.
Not on the HD78 itself: the chassis is out of production and no longer supplied to Kazakhstan, and the Hyundai Mighty family replaced it. The body we repeat one to one on the Mighty and on other medium-duty chassis — JAC N90, JAC N120, Foton Aumark S80. Dimensions, panel thickness and door layout carry over unchanged; only the frame differs, and the subframe is built to match it.
The outside dimensions are 5,200 × 2,200 × 2,200 mm — about 25 m³ by the outer contour. The inside volume is slightly smaller by the panel thickness: walls, floor and roof each take 25 mm.
Panel thickness and purpose. A dry-freight body protects the load from rain, dust and wind, and its panel is thin — 25 mm. An insulated body uses a 40–80 mm panel: it holds temperature and can take refrigeration. If you may need cold later, order the insulated body straight away — a 25 mm body cannot be converted into a refrigerated one.
It does not rot, does not absorb moisture and is not harmed by washing, while the chequer pattern keeps pallets and boxes from sliding. Aluminium is lighter than plywood with a steel sheet, so more payload is left. Alternatives are moisture-resistant plywood or plywood with galvanised sheet — fitted on request.
Yes — that is exactly why the body is flush: the outer skin has no protruding ribs and no seam in the middle of the side. Vinyl covers the whole area and the artwork is not broken by joints. This van carries the customer’s own livery.
