Drop-side Flatbed — Built and Mounted from 14 Days

A flatbed platform is an open cargo body with drop sides that we build and mount on your chassis for oversized and open cargo: building materials, machinery, pallets and equipment. Sides in galvanised steel or aluminium, 400/600/800 mm high, with a flat anti-slip floor deck. Own workshop in Almaty, 2-year warranty, lead time from 14 days.

What the body is made of

Every element of the COND flatbed is a class above the typical build: one-piece steel side profile, moisture-resistant anti-slip floor, reinforced subframe and corner locks. Below — element by element: the material, why we build it that way, and what it gives you.

Galvanised steel sides (aluminium optional)

Material: one-piece galvanised steel side profile, optionally aluminium sides; 400 mm high as standard, 600 or 800 mm to order.

Why: galvanising does not rust at chips or under road chemicals, and the one-piece profile keeps its shape under cargo impacts; aluminium is lighter and does not corrode at all.

Your benefit: the sides serve for years without warping, and light aluminium adds usable payload.

Anti-slip floor deck

Material: moisture-resistant anti-slip plywood on a steel base (optionally chequered aluminium).

Why: the floor of an open platform is constantly wet and under abrasion; laminated plywood absorbs no water and does not slip underfoot or under cargo.

Your benefit: cargo and loaders do not slip, the floor does not rot and takes the point loads of pallets and machinery.

Reinforced steel subframe

Material: a reinforced subframe with steel mounting inserts for the sides and cargo lashing.

Why: the subframe spreads the cargo weight onto the chassis frame and absorbs impacts on rough roads, while the inserts hold the side and lashing fasteners.

Your benefit: the platform does not shift on the frame, fasteners do not tear out, and both chassis and body last longer even under overload.

Corner locks

Material: cam locks at every corner of the platform, galvanised steel hinges.

Why: the sides open dozens of times a day — the locking points are the first to fail from corrosion and ice.

Your benefit: the sides lock tight without rattling, the locks do not seize in winter, and a side drops easily for loading.

Lights and plastic fenders

Material: marker lights along the platform sides, one-piece moulded plastic fender covers over the wheels.

Why: an open platform is wider than the cab — side markers are required; plastic fenders do not rust or dent from stones.

Your benefit: the vehicle is visible and safe on the road, and the fenders do not corrode and keep their look.

Options

Options — configure the body for your job

Options for your logistics — from a tilt frame to a tail lift and lashing. We agree the set when you order.

Tilt with hoops

A hoop frame and tarpaulin over the platform — protects cargo from precipitation and dust with quick side access.

Side extensions — a COND body option
Side extensions

Additional side sections up to 600/800 mm — more volume for light bulk cargo.

Lashing rings — a COND body option
Lashing rings

Tie-down rings and loops around the platform perimeter — lashing straps to secure the cargo.

Tail lift — a COND body option
Tail lift

Hydraulic tail lift — loading heavy pallets and machinery without a ramp.

Why us

Why buy from COND

Own workshop since 2001, in-house design office, sides for any cargo, lead time from 14 days and mounting on any chassis while preserving the factory warranty.

24 years

In-house manufacturing since 2001

We build the platforms and mount them on the chassis in our own workshop in Almaty. Over 2,000 bodies built.

400–800

Sides for any cargo

Side heights of 400/600/800 mm, stanchions and extensions for long and bulk loads.

14 days

Lead time from 14 days

A typical platform takes from 14 working days, with the date fixed in the contract.

Any chassis

Mounted on your chassis

FAW, Kia, Hyundai, GAZelle/GAZon, JAC, Isuzu, Hino, KamAZ — preserving the factory chassis warranty.

In-house design

Design office

We engineer the platform for your chassis and cargo instead of forcing a standard template.

Built to last

For heavy-duty logistics

We reinforce the subframe and sides for intensive work and overload.

Lower turnover

Attractive work for drivers

Good equipment makes the job more attractive: drivers join more willingly and stay longer — less staff turnover.

Applications

What cargo the flatbed platform is for

A flatbed platform is for oversized and open cargo that needs no enclosed body: building materials, machinery, pallets, equipment. The sides secure the cargo, while a tilt and stanchions protect and hold long loads.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about flatbed platforms

Galvanised steel sides are cheaper and tougher against impacts — they are chosen for building materials and heavy loads. Aluminium sides are lighter (more usable payload) and do not corrode at all — chosen when every hundred kilograms of payload matters. We will match them to your cargo and budget.
The standard sides are 400 mm. To order we build 600 or 800 mm, as well as extension sections — for light bulk or high-volume cargo.
Yes. We build drop sides with corner locks, removable sections and stanchion posts for long loads (pipes, logs, timber).
Yes, we install a hoop frame and tarpaulin — the platform becomes a covered body that protects the cargo from precipitation with quick side access.
Yes. The platform is engineered individually for the dimensions and payload of your chassis (FAW, Kia, Hyundai, GAZelle/GAZon, JAC, Isuzu, Hino, KamAZ) while preserving the factory warranty.
The price depends on the platform size, side height and material, and the trim. A typical platform takes from 14 working days. Leave a request with your company, name and phone number — we will give you an exact price and date.
The warranty is 2 years with scheduled servicing. Galvanised sides, plastic fenders and the reinforced subframe are built for years of intensive service.
