The Kia Bongo K2500 in our configuration is the LPI: a KIA THETA 2.4 gas engine of 2,359 cc, 159 hp at 5,500 rpm, 23 kg·m of torque, Euro 5. A 71-litre gas tank and a five-speed manual gearbox. Gross weight is 3,500 kg and the bare chassis weighs 2,000 kg, so about 1,500 kg is left for the body and the load, minus the weight of the body itself. The wheelbase is 2,615 mm, ground clearance 135 mm, turning radius 5.2 m.
The maximum nominal body length on this chassis is 3,000 mm: a short refrigerated, insulated or dry-freight van, a bread van, an ice-cream body, a flatbed platform. We calculate usable volume from internal dimensions, subtracting the sandwich panel thickness — 100 mm per side on a refrigerated or insulated body, 25 mm on a dry-freight one. A 5.2 m turning radius and a low loading height are the reason the K2500 is chosen for dense city distribution: it gets into courtyards and up to shops where the K4000 can no longer turn around.

In our specification the Kia Bongo K4000 is Bi-Fuel: a KIA THETA 2.4 LPG/petrol engine of 2,359 cm³, 159 hp at 5,500 rpm, 23 kg·m of torque, Euro-5. Tanks hold 71 l of LPG and 65 l of petrol, and the gearbox is a 5-speed manual. The documented GVW is 3,500 kg, the kerb weight of the chassis is 1,895 kg, and the actual chassis payload is 2,000 kg, from which the weight of the body itself is deducted. The permitted axle loads are 1,550 kg at the front and 2,100 kg at the rear.
We fit the Kia Bongo K4000 with bodies of external dimensions up to 4200×1900×1900 mm. Thanks to the thin yet strong sandwich-panel walls, the usable internal space is around 3990×1735×1700 mm — enough for standard Euro pallets. Cladding material of your choice — plastic, galvanised steel or stainless steel; the floor is moisture-resistant transport plywood or chequered aluminium.
