Furniture van on a KIA Bongo K2500

🪑 Furniture vancategory Bplywood liningfront hatch
🪟 window for oversize items🧰 tool box

Dry-freight body in the furniture version: inside, the body is lined with plywood rather than galvanised sheet — a softer lining that does not scratch polished fronts or the corners of packaging. A hatch is cut into the front wall: through it goes cargo longer than the body — a cornice, a worktop, guide rails. The hatch closes fully and has a sealing profile around it, so the body stays dry when shut. Under the frame sits a tool box: straps, lashings and corner protectors travel separately from the load.

Who it suits

A dry van is about volume and protection rather than temperature: furniture, appliances, building materials, boxed goods, removals. The cargo is shut away from rain, dust and prying eyes.

We will build the same — to your size and your chassis

This body is not a catalogue item but a project we actually built. We will make the same one to your dimensions: length, width and height are calculated for your cargo and the chassis payload, rather than fitting the cargo to a ready-made size.

We also fit it to your own chassis: bring the vehicle, we take the frame dimensions, build the body, mount it and hand it over with the conversion paperwork.

If you are still choosing a chassis, we have the same body on other bases as well: Foton Aumark (4.2 m), GAZelle Business 3302, HINO 300 (side opening), Iveco Daily 50C15. They differ in payload, frame length and licence category.

FAQ

FAQ about the Kia Bongo furniture van

The lining inside. In a plain dry van the walls are galvanised sheet: it takes a pressure wash and shrugs off knocks, but it also scratches polished fronts and tears the film off packaging. In the furniture version the walls are plywood — softer, and it leaves no marks on gloss.
Through it goes cargo longer than the body: a cornice, a worktop, guide rails, skirting. Without the hatch such a load either does not fit or travels at an angle and jams in the corners. The hatch closes fully and has a sealing profile, so rain and dust stay out when it is shut.
It sits under the frame and locks. Lashing gear goes in it: straps, tensioners, corner protectors, blankets. That frees up the body and settles the “where are the straps” question at every load.
No. The Kia Bongo K2500 stays within 3,500 kg gross — category B, an ordinary licence. For furniture delivery around town that is the main argument: a driver is easier to find.
Yes. The plywood lining, the hatch and the box are body options, not chassis ones. We fit them on GAZelle, JAC, Foton and other chassis; only the body dimensions and the subframe change.
