Dry freight van on a GAZelle Business 3302

category Bflush-mounted lashing rail25 mm panel
↔ body 3,200 × 2,000 × 2,200 mm▣ panel 25 mm

Dry-freight body from the “Promo” series on a GAZelle Business 3302. The key difference from a basic box is the lashing rail set flush into the side walls: cargo straps at any height, while the rail itself costs no body width and does not snag boxes during loading. The 25 mm panel makes this a dry van with no temperature control: protection from rain, dust and prying eyes. Gross weight stays within 3,500 kg — a category B licence.

How this body is built

The project is based on a GAZ-3302 — GAZelle Business, 2,900 mm wheelbase chassis. Gross weight 3,500 kg — a category B licence is enough.

This is a dry-freight (non-insulated) body; externally the body is 3,200 × 2,000 × 2,200 mm. That leaves 3,150 × 1,950 × 2,150 mm, 25 mm panel inside: the panel thickness is subtracted on every side, floor and ceiling included. Usable volume is 13.2 m³, counted from the internal dimensions rather than by multiplying the external ones. In a single tier that is 4 europallets.

Doors: rear barn doors, two full-width leaves.

Fitted equipment: folding ladder, contour marking, rear underrun bar.

Who it suits

A dry van is about volume and protection rather than temperature: furniture, appliances, building materials, boxed goods, removals. The cargo is shut away from rain, dust and prying eyes. Usable volume here is 13.2 m³ — the block above estimates the load in pallets.

We will build the same — to your size and your chassis

This body is not a catalogue item but a project we actually built. We will make the same one to your dimensions: length, width and height are calculated for your cargo and the chassis payload, rather than fitting the cargo to a ready-made size.

We also fit it to your own chassis: bring the vehicle, we take the frame dimensions, build the body, mount it and hand it over with the conversion paperwork.

If you are still choosing a chassis, we have the same body on other bases as well: Foton Aumark (4.2 m), HINO 300 (side opening), Iveco Daily 50C15, JAC N120. They differ in payload, frame length and licence category.

How many pallets fit

A standard 1,200 × 800 mm europallet, single tier, no restacking. Internal dimensions with a 50 mm laying allowance — a pallet will not go in dead tight.

Inside 3 150 × 1 950 × 2 150 mm · 13,2 m³

The layout scheme is on the right: it shows how the rows sit and how much room is left.

FAQ

FAQ about the GAZelle Business dry freight van

Cargo secured at any height, not just at floor level. The rail sits flush in the wall: it costs no body width and does not snag boxes during loading — that is what separates a flush rail from a surface-mounted one bolted over the lining.
No, and it is not meant to. This is a dry van: 25 mm is structural wall thickness, not insulation. The job of this body is rain, dust and prying eyes. If you need a temperature regime, you take an insulated body with a 50–100 mm panel, or a reefer.
Gross weight is 3,500 kg, so the payload depends on the weight of the body itself and stays within about a tonne and a half. We calculate the exact figure for your configuration at order time — it shifts with body length and fittings.
No. The GAZelle Business stays within 3,500 kg — category B, an ordinary licence.
Yes — the construction is the same, only the subframe changes to match the chassis. On the Next we build 3.2 and 4.2 metre dry freight bodies; they are in the “Vehicles” section.
