Shacman is a Chinese heavy chassis with growing popularity at Kazakhstan's mining sites and construction projects. It handles off-road and winter operation well, so it is often used for crew buses and special equipment.
Certified conversion, not a 'garage' build.

Our own design office — we engineer the body for your job.
We have built and filmed a COND body on a Shacman L3000 chassis: a heavy-duty van, with the construction and the measurements covered in a separate video review and in the article about bodies of 40 cubic metres and more.

Besides van bodies, the Shacman is most often ordered with a crew-bus module: the chassis handles rough roads well, and we build the module insulated, with certified seats.
The subframe. A body is never mounted straight onto the frame: a subframe goes between them, spreading the load and absorbing the twisting of the frame on uneven ground. On a heavy chassis with a long wheelbase this is not a formality — without it the panel starts working in bending at the corners.
The body length sets the wheelbase. It has to be counted from the wheelbase and the rear overhang, not from “how much will fit”: overloading the rear axle while the gross weight is formally within limits is the commonest mistake when ordering a long body.
The licence category. Anything above 3,500 kg gross weight requires category C. For heavy chassis that is a given, but it is worth looking at before ordering: a driver with category C takes longer and costs more to find.
Panel thickness and choosing the unit. For a freezing range we take 80 or 100 mm, for an above-zero range 50 is enough. The refrigeration unit is chosen by internal volume and the temperature required, not by the make of the chassis — large bodies get the top models of the Carrier and Elinge ranges.

Yes. We have our own project on a Shacman L3000 chassis — a heavy-duty van body, covered in an article and shown on video. The type of body is chosen for the job: a van, a refrigerated body, a dropside platform or a crew module.
Yes. We fit the superstructure according to the chassis manufacturer’s rules and issue documents for the body, so the factory warranty on the chassis itself stays valid.
We count from the wheelbase and the permitted rear axle load. Tell us your wheelbase and what you carry, and we will name the maximum body length that will not overload it.
The price depends on the body type, its dimensions, the skin material and the refrigeration unit. We quote for your specific chassis and job — leave a request and a manager will calculate it and get back to you.
Yes. You bring the chassis to us in Almaty yourself; manufacturing takes from 10–14 days. We work with both new dealer vehicles and used ones.
Vehicles with our bodies are serviced through dealer networks across Kazakhstan; the body warranty is from COND.
The design of a body does not depend on the make — we count by the wheelbase and the axle loads.
