Home / Trucks in stock / Flatbed platforms
Aluminium and steel sides, assembled curtain-sides, rigging superstructures. Built and installed at the COND workshop.
A the side platform is the most versatile body: loaded from above by crane, from the side by forklift, from the rear by pallet truck. Side height of 400, 600 or 800 mm is chosen for the cargo: low sides suit sacks and profile, bulk cargo needs high ones.
Sides are made of steel or aluminium. Aluminium is lighter — a direct gain in payload — and does not rust from road salt; steel is cheaper and takes rough loading better. The floor is laid flat, without thresholds, so a pallet rolls without catching. More on the page flatbed platforms, and if you need a cover over the sides, see a curtain-side.
