This chassis is out of production. The Hyundai HD260 is no longer built, so this project cannot be repeated on that chassis. We make the same body on current heavy chassis — we will match an equivalent by length and payload.

A heavy-duty dry-freight body on a three-axle Hyundai HD260 chassis. The body is 8,200 × 2,550 × 2,500 mm, 49.9 m³ usable. A tail lift at the rear lets the truck load where there is no ramp: a pallet goes from the ground to floor level. A side door gives access to the front of the body without unpacking the load at the rear doors.

How this body is built

The vehicle is built on a Hyundai HD260 chassis.

Body type — dry-freight (non-insulated) body. That leaves 8,150 × 2,500 × 2,450 mm inside: the panel thickness is subtracted on every side, floor and ceiling included. Usable volume is 49.9 m³, counted from the internal dimensions rather than by multiplying the external ones.

Doors: hinged rear + side.

Why it is built this way

A side door changes distribution logistics: at each stop you open it rather than the whole rear portal — less cold escapes and the truck can park tight against its neighbour.

Who it suits

A dry van is about volume and protection rather than temperature: furniture, appliances, building materials, boxed goods, removals. The cargo is shut away from rain, dust and prying eyes. Usable volume here is 49.9 m³ — the block above estimates the load in pallets.

A standard 1,200 × 800 mm europallet, single tier, no restacking. Internal dimensions with a 50 mm laying allowance — a pallet will not go in dead tight.

FAQ about the dry-freight body on the Hyundai HD260

A ramp is not available everywhere. A tail lift raises a pallet from the ground to floor level, so the truck works at a shop in a yard and on a site with no equipment. For multi-drop delivery it solves unloading single-handed.
A dry-freight body does not need to hold a temperature; the panel only has to be rigid and keep the weather out. Hence 25 mm instead of 100 mm — and at the same external size it holds 6.7 m³ more inside.
On the HD260 itself — no, the chassis is out of production. We fit the same body with a tail lift to current three-axle chassis.
