GAZelle Next A21R35 premium FRP reefer for pharmaceuticals

4,250 mm bodycategory BFRP panelsElinge C2 unitWebasto heaterLPG, propane

The GAZelle Next is spelled in several ways in Russian-language ads and searches. It is one and the same vehicle.

↔ body 4,250 mm18.3 m³⚖ payload 1,500 kg

A completed COND project in premium trim: a refrigerated body 4,250 × 2,250 × 2,400 mm on the long-wheelbase GAZelle Next. The panels are FRP fibreglass inside and out, the floor is fibreglass with quartz grit: a body like this hoses down, holds no odours and does not corrode along the seams, which is why the vehicle was built for carrying pharmaceuticals. With a 100 mm panel the interior is 4,050 × 2,050 × 2,200 mm — that is 18.3 m³, and the vehicle holds 8 pallets. The refrigeration unit Elinge C2 above the cab runs in cooling mode, in winter the cargo temperature is held by an independent Webasto heater, and a temperature recorder logs the whole trip — without that pair pharmaceuticals may not be carried. At the rear there are hinged doors across the full width of the opening and a folding ladder. The chassis runs on propane, with the cylinder under the frame.

How this body is built

The project is based on a GAZelle Next A21R35, 3,745 mm wheelbase chassis with a 3,745 mm wheelbase. The engine is UMZ EvoTech 2.7 petrol + LPG (propane), Euro 5. Gross weight 3,500 kg — a category B licence is enough.

Body type — reefer van, sandwich panel with FRP fibreglass, external dimensions 4,250 × 2,250 × 2,400 mm. That leaves 4,050 × 2,050 × 2,200 mm, 100 mm panel inside: the panel thickness is subtracted on every side, floor and ceiling included. Usable volume is 18.3 m³, counted from the internal dimensions rather than by multiplying the external ones. In a single tier that is capacity 8 pallets.

The interior lining is FRP. The floor is GRP with quartz grit. Doors: hinged rear doors across the full width of the opening, folding ladder.

The refrigeration unit is Elinge C2 — cooling. Operating range: cooling; +2…+8 °C for pharmaceuticals.

Why it is built this way

A fibreglass floor with quartz grit does not slip even when wet and has no seams for water to seep into — the choice for food and pharma work where the body is washed daily.

The interior lining is FRP: a continuous surface with no joints or rivets for dirt to catch on. This is the premium build, chosen for food, pharmaceuticals and flowers.

  • The whole vehicle, front three-quarter view, body 4,25 m
  • Side body along its full length, panel fibreglass FRP, cylinder propane for frame
  • Rear three-quarter view, hinged doors in the whole width the aperture
  • Body inside: fibreglass FRP, floor with quartz grit, the evaporator above the aperture

  • Latches the rear doors, the folding ladder and rear underrun bar
  • Evening shot 3/4 from the front, marker lamps lamps body
  • Control panel monitoring temperature in the cab the driver

Who it suits

A body with a refrigeration unit carries anything perishable: meat and fish, dairy, ready meals, flowers, medicines. The unit holds the set temperature while parked too, so the truck also suits distribution runs with long stops. Usable volume here is 18.3 m³ — the block above estimates the load in pallets.

We will build the same — to your size and your chassis

This body is not a catalogue item but a project we actually built. We will make the same one to your dimensions: length, width and height are calculated for your cargo and the chassis payload, rather than fitting the cargo to a ready-made size.

We also fit it to your own chassis: bring the vehicle, we take the frame dimensions, build the body, mount it and hand it over with the conversion paperwork.

If you are still choosing a chassis, we have the same body on other bases as well: Chevrolet Labo, DongFeng C31, FAW 1027, HINO 300. They differ in payload, frame length and licence category.

How many pallets fit

A standard 1,200 × 800 mm europallet, single tier, no restacking. Internal dimensions with a 50 mm laying allowance — a pallet will not go in dead tight.

FAQ

FAQ about the refrigerated van on a GAZelle Next A21R35

Eight pallets. The interior is 4,050 × 2,050 × 2,200 mm: six 1200 × 800 europallets stand on the floor in one tier — two per row short side first, three rows. The 2,200 mm height leaves room for a second tier, which is used with pharmaceutical cartons — hence the stated eight pallets. A comparison of the GAZelle wheelbases is on the page GAZelle Next.
The skin material. In a standard body the walls are galvanised or white plated sheet inside and the floor is chequered aluminium. Here both the outer and the inner skin of the panel are FRP fibreglass, and the floor is fibreglass with quartz grit. Fibreglass does not rust along seams and rivets, hoses down and does not retain the smell of the previous load, while the quartz grit gives the floor grip so a pallet does not slide. For pharmaceuticals, where the body is washed and inspected, that matters.
The working range of this vehicle is the pharmaceutical +2…+8 °C. Elinge C2 is rated for a body of up to 16 m³ at 0 °C and up to 11 m³ at −20 °C, with a cooling capacity of 3200 W at 0 °C and 1600 W at −20 °C; the body here is 18.3 m³, so the vehicle is built for cooling rather than deep freezing. In winter the task is the opposite — keeping the load from freezing — and an independent Webasto heater handles it. If a steady sub-zero temperature is needed for this volume, a larger model of the range is fitted — the full list is on the page Elinge.
That is exactly what it was built for. The requirements for medicine transport are a washable finish with no pores or gaps, holding a defined temperature range, and documentary proof of that range over the trip. Hence the FRP fibreglass, the winter heater and the temperature recorder that plots the chart. Validating the range and calibrating the sensors is done by the customer under their own protocol.
Yes. The Elinge unit is driven by the engine and does not care what fuel that engine burns. The cylinder sits under the frame and takes no space beneath the body. Gas makes the kilometre cheaper, and for rounds covering hundreds of kilometres a week that is a visible line in the budget.
Yes, the body is a series product. It is fitted to both wheelbases of the GAZelle Next and to the GAZelle Business, with the same specification: hinged rear doors, FRP panels, a quartz-chip floor. The refrigeration unit model is chosen by body volume and range — the whole line-up is on the page Elinge.
The price is made up of the body and the unit. The unit is quoted from the Elinge price list, the body from its configuration: length, panel thickness, doors, interior fit-out. Leave a request or write on WhatsApp and we will send a quote. COND does not publish prices for bodies.
COND is a factory with its own WMI manufacturer code, so we issue the full set of conversion paperwork and the entry in the vehicle passport.
