Reefer body on a Hyundai HD35L chassis

Elinge C2 unitdown to −20 °Caluminium floor
❄ down to −20 °C▣ body for a refrigeration unit up to 11 m³

A light-duty reefer for urban distribution: sandwich panel, refrigeration unit Elinge C2 — the condenser sits above the cab, the evaporator under the body roof. The unit both cools and heats, so the truck works all year round. Inside, the body is lined with galvanised sheet, with a chequer-plate aluminium kerb along the bottom of the walls and an aluminium floor deck — a cargo space like this can be hosed down and shrugs off roll cages. The rear doors are hinged, reflective tape runs around the body, and underneath there is a rear underrun bar and rubber buffers.

How this body is built

The body is built on a Hyundai HD35L chassis. Gross weight up to 3,500 kg — a category B licence is enough.

Body type — refrigerated body, sandwich panel.

The interior lining is galvanised sheet, chequer-plate aluminium kerb along the bottom of the walls. The floor is aluminium. Doors: hinged rear, clamp-type latches.

The refrigeration unit is Elinge C2 — cooling and heating. Operating range: down to −20 °C. Fitted equipment: reflective contour tape, marker lamps, rear underrun bar, rubber buffers.

Why it is built this way

Walls and ceiling are lined with galvanised sheet — the factory standard for a van body: it shrugs off moisture, takes a pallet-corner knock and is replaced in sections rather than whole panels.

Who it suits

A body with a refrigeration unit carries anything perishable: meat and fish, dairy, ready meals, flowers, medicines. The unit holds the set temperature while parked too, so the truck also suits distribution runs with long stops.

We will build the same — to your size and your chassis

This body is not a catalogue item but a project we actually built. We will make the same one to your dimensions: length, width and height are calculated for your cargo and the chassis payload, rather than fitting the cargo to a ready-made size.

We also fit it to your own chassis: bring the vehicle, we take the frame dimensions, build the body, mount it and hand it over with the conversion paperwork.

If you are still choosing a chassis, we have the same body on other bases as well: Chevrolet Labo, DongFeng C31, FAW 1027, GAZelle Business 3302. They differ in payload, frame length and licence category.

FAQ

FAQ about the Hyundai HD35L reefer

Down to −20 °C. The Elinge C2 unit is rated for a body of up to 11 m³ in the sub-zero duty and up to 16 m³ at around 0 °C, so on a light truck like the HD35L it works with margin to spare. That covers both frozen goods and chilled produce.
A monoblock, engine-driven refrigeration unit: the condenser goes above the cab and the evaporator under the body roof. It both cools and heats, so the truck does not stand idle in winter. Full specifications for the range are on the page Elinge.
Yes. Heating is not about comfort: it keeps cargo that must not freeze — drinks, vegetables, confectionery, some medicines — out of the sub-zero range. In Kazakhstan that is half of all winter runs, so we build the “Heat” duty into the project by default.
The walls and roof are lined with galvanised sheet, a chequer-plate aluminium kerb runs along the bottom of the walls and the floor deck is aluminium. A cargo space like this can be hosed down, does not absorb odours and shrugs off roll cages and crate corners — in store delivery work those are exactly the parts that wear out first.
Their bodies are built the same way — the same sandwich panel. The difference is that an isothermal body has no refrigeration unit: it only slows warming, and goods chilled at the warehouse stay in range for three or four hours. A reefer creates the temperature and holds it as long as needed. If the cargo travels around the city and is unloaded within a couple of hours, what is often enough is insulated van.
Yes, the design is not tied to a make. On light vehicles we fit the junior models of the Elinge range, on long bodies the C3 and above. We select by body volume and temperature duty, not by the make of the truck — take a look at the light-truck class.
The price is made up of the body and the unit. The unit is quoted from the Elinge price list, the body from its configuration: length, panel thickness, doors, interior fit-out. Leave a request or write on WhatsApp and we will send a quote. COND does not publish prices for bodies.
COND is a factory with its own WMI manufacturer code, so we issue the full set of conversion paperwork and the entry in the vehicle passport.
