Bread van on GAZelle Next chassis

category B4 side doors4 compartments128 trays

The GAZelle Next is spelled in several ways in Russian-language ads and searches. It is one and the same vehicle.

↔ body 3,200 × 2,100 × 1,800 mm🍞 capacity 128 trays

Bakery van on a GAZelle Next: the body is split into four compartments, each with its own side door. A tray sits on runners instead of sliding around the floor — the bread is not crushed and orders do not mix. Loading is from both sides, so at a stop the driver pulls the tray he needs without unloading the rest. The walls have ventilation openings: fresh baking gives off heat and moisture, and without ventilation the crust goes soggy. Standard capacity is 128 trays; body dimensions are matched to the tray size your bakery uses.

How this body is built

The body is built on a GAZelle NEXT, 3,145 mm standard wheelbase — index A21R22 (Cummins diesel), A21R23 (UMZ petrol) or A21R25 (petrol + LPG) chassis. Gross weight 3,500 kg — a category B licence is enough.

Body type — bread van (tray body), sandwich panel, external dimensions 3,200 × 2,100 × 1,800 mm. That leaves 2,992 × 1,892 × 1,592 mm, 100 mm panel inside: the panel thickness is subtracted on every side, floor and ceiling included. Usable volume is 9.0 m³, counted from the internal dimensions rather than by multiplying the external ones. In a single tier that is 4 europallets.

Doors: four side doors, two on each side.

Why it is built this way

A side door changes distribution logistics: at each stop you open it rather than the whole rear portal — less cold escapes and the truck can park tight against its neighbour.

Who it suits

A bread van is counted in trays, not pallets: inside are guides for the standard tray, and side hatches let goods be handed out without stepping into the body. Usable volume here is 9.0 m³ — the block above estimates the load in pallets.

We will build the same — to your size and your chassis

This body is not a catalogue item but a project we actually built. We will make the same one to your dimensions: length, width and height are calculated for your cargo and the chassis payload, rather than fitting the cargo to a ready-made size.

We also fit it to your own chassis: bring the vehicle, we take the frame dimensions, build the body, mount it and hand it over with the conversion paperwork.

FAQ

FAQ about the GAZelle Next bread van

The standard build takes 128 trays: four compartments, each with its own runners. The number depends on your tray size, so we match the body dimensions and runner spacing to the specific bakery. Send us the tray size and we will calculate the exact capacity.
So you do not unload half the body for one tray. Each compartment has its own door and loading is from both sides: at a stop the driver opens the right compartment and takes his tray. On a twenty-shop route that saves more time than any other refinement.
Fresh baking gives off heat and moisture. Shut it in an airtight body and the crust goes soggy — the bread loses its look before it arrives. Openings in the walls let the air out; this is not a reefer, the task here is the opposite.
The inside. From outside it is the same van; inside there are tray runners, partitions into compartments and side doors instead of just rear ones. A plain van will not do for bread: the trays slide along the floor and knock into each other.
No. The GAZelle Next stays within 3,500 kg gross — category B. For bread delivery that matters: a driver with an ordinary licence is easier and cheaper to find.
