Insulated van on a JAC N56 chassis

category Cbody 4,200 mmfolding step
⚖ payload 3,445 kg↔ body 4,200 mm

An insulated van on our most popular chassis. The JAC N56 has a 150 hp diesel with 355 N·m, a 5,600 kg gross weight and a 3,445 kg payload. A 4,200 mm body fits the 4,295 mm frame mounting length with no overhang. This is a truck for loads that need protection from the street rather than active cold: furniture and appliances, packaging, pharmacy, bread and confectionery on short runs.

Who a JAC N56 insulated van suits

A JAC N56 insulated van sits in the middle of the range: bigger than a delivery “little one” but far handier than a seven-tonner. A 3,445 kg payload and a 4.2 m body — six Euro pallets in a single row. An HFC4DE1-1D diesel with Common Rail and SCR, 355 N·m from 1,800 rpm, six-speed manual.

An insulated body is lighter than a refrigerated one: without the unit and its frame, more usable load remains than with a reefer on the same chassis. If cold is needed later, the body is fitted with a unit and becomes a refrigerated van — the van itself does not need rebuilding.

Body

A 50, 80 or 100 mm sandwich panel of our own manufacture, frameless — no thermal bridges along the ribs. The body slows the warming and cooling of the cargo: it will not bake in summer or freeze through in winter. Reflective markings run round the body, and the rear doors have reinforced latches that lock in the open position.

Loading

The rear swing doors fold back to the sides and lock there, so the truck backs up to a dock or is loaded by forklift. Under the doors there is a folding step: it does not stick out beyond the outline, but when needed the driver climbs into the body without blocks. On a route with no dock that saves time at every stop.

Need a side door or a different body length? We build to the job. On this chassis we fit bodies from 4.2 to 4.6 m; exactly which one goes on is settled by the axle-load calculation.

How this body is built

The project is based on a JAC N56 chassis with a 3,360 mm, mounting length 4,295 mm wheelbase. The engine is HFC4DE1-1D diesel, Common Rail + SCR, Euro 5, 150 hp (110 kW). Gross weight 5,600 kg, so the driver needs a category C licence.

Body type: insulated — without a refrigeration unit, external dimensions 4,200 mm (chassis mounting length 4,295 mm).

Doors: rear swing doors, folding back to the sides.

Fitted equipment: folding step, reflective markings.

We will build the same — to your size and your chassis

This body is not a catalogue item but a project we actually built. We will make the same one to your dimensions: length, width and height are calculated for your cargo and the chassis payload, rather than fitting the cargo to a ready-made size.

We also fit it to your own chassis: bring the vehicle, we take the frame dimensions, build the body, mount it and hand it over with the conversion paperwork.

If you are still choosing a chassis, we have the same body on other bases as well: FAW 1027 (T80), Foton 5163, GAZelle Next A21R32, GAZon NEXT. They differ in payload, frame length and licence category.

FAQ

FAQ about the JAC N56 insulated van

It is the same sandwich-panel body, only without a refrigeration unit. An isothermal body makes no cold — it slows heat exchange with the outside, so cargo loaded chilled warms up slowly. A reefer creates and holds the temperature itself. If cooling is needed later, a unit is added to the body — the van itself does not have to be rebuilt.
The chassis payload is 3,445 kg. An insulated body is lighter than a refrigerated one: without the unit and its frame, more usable load remains than with a reefer on the same chassis. A 4.2 m body takes six Euro pallets in a single row.
As standard 4,200 mm: the frame mounting length is 4,295 mm, so the body fits with no overhang. On this chassis we build from 4.2 to 4.6 m — exactly which one goes on is settled by the axle-load calculation.
A folding one: it does not stick out beyond the outline, and when needed the driver climbs into the body without blocks or a dock. On a route with no forklift that saves time at every stop.
Yes. On a delivery round with frequent stops a side door saves time: the order goes out through it without opening the whole load space from the rear, and less outside air gets in. Just say so when ordering.
Category C: the gross weight is 5,600 kg, above the 3,500 kg threshold. If you need something for an ordinary category B licence, look at bodies on a FAW 1027 or a Kia Bongo.
We price it to the configuration: body length, sandwich-panel thickness, doors, lighting, fit-out. Leave a request or write on WhatsApp — we send separate figures for the body and the installation. COND does not publish body prices.
From 14 working days once the configuration is confirmed. The body and the installation are done in our own shop in Almaty. COND is a plant with its own manufacturer WMI code, so we issue the full set of conversion documents and the entry in the vehicle passport.
