Insulated van on JAC N35 chassis

category Bside doorgalvanised insidestandard specification
⚖ chassis payload 1,900 kg🚪 side plus rear doors

A compact isothermal van on the light JAC N35 chassis — a vehicle for city distribution under category B. The side door on the right gives access to the middle of the body straight from the pavement; at the rear are hinged doors with cam-bar locks and a sealing profile around the opening. Inside, the body is lined with galvanised sheet: it washes down, does not take on odours and survives knocks from crates. There are reflective corner pieces at the body corners, and an underrun bar and mudflaps below. There is no refrigeration unit — the body slows the warming of what was loaded.

How this body is built

The vehicle is built on a JAC N35 (2.0 petrol) chassis. The engine is HFC4DB2-1D diesel, Common Rail, Euro 5.

Body type — insulated body, sandwich panel.

The interior lining is galvanised sheet. Doors: hinged rear plus a side door on the right.

The refrigeration unit is none — the body slows the warming of the loaded goods. Fitted equipment: reflective corner markers, an underrun bar, mudflaps.

Why it is built this way

Walls and ceiling are lined with galvanised sheet — the factory standard for a van body: it shrugs off moisture, takes a pallet-corner knock and is replaced in sections rather than whole panels.

A side door changes distribution logistics: at each stop you open it rather than the whole rear portal — less cold escapes and the truck can park tight against its neighbour.

  • The rear doors head on: cam-bar locks and the sealing profile
  • The rear doors open, the body inside — galvanised lining

Who it suits

An isothermal body does not produce cold — it slows heat exchange with the outside. Such a van is chosen for short runs and for cargo loaded already chilled: bread, confectionery, drinks, groceries.

We will build the same — to your size and your chassis

This body is not a catalogue item but a project we actually built. We will make the same one to your dimensions: length, width and height are calculated for your cargo and the chassis payload, rather than fitting the cargo to a ready-made size.

We also fit it to your own chassis: bring the vehicle, we take the frame dimensions, build the body, mount it and hand it over with the conversion paperwork.

If you are still choosing a chassis, we have the same body on other bases as well: FAW 1027 (T80), Foton 5163, GAZelle Next A21R32, GAZon NEXT. They differ in payload, frame length and licence category.

FAQ

FAQ about the JAC N35 insulated van

It is the same sandwich-panel body, only without a refrigeration unit. An isothermal body makes no cold — it slows heat exchange with the outside, so cargo loaded chilled warms up slowly. A reefer creates and holds the temperature itself. If cooling is needed later, a unit is added to the body — the van itself does not have to be rebuilt.
Category B: the gross weight is 3,490 kg, below the 3,500 kg threshold. No separate category C driver is needed.
The chassis payload is 1,900 kg. A 136 hp diesel and dimensions of 5,157 × 1,750 × 1,939 mm — the truck fits into yards and underground car parks.
Yes, the body is designed to take a unit. There is a finished example — the refrigerated van on the same chassis in the “Vehicles” section.
Yes. On a delivery round with frequent stops a side door saves time: the order goes out through it without opening the whole load space from the rear, and less outside air gets in. Just say so when ordering.
We price it to the configuration: body length, sandwich-panel thickness, doors, lighting, fit-out. Leave a request or write on WhatsApp — we send separate figures for the body and the installation. COND does not publish body prices.
COND is a factory with its own WMI manufacturer code, so we issue the full set of conversion paperwork and the entry in the vehicle passport.
