Insulated van on a JAC N35 (petrol 2.0)

light chassissandwich panelwithout a refrigeration unit

Two identical vehicles from one batch. An insulated van is a sandwich-panel body with no refrigeration unit: it does not create cold but holds the temperature loaded into it. On a city round, where the vehicle is unloaded within a few hours, that is enough — and such a body costs noticeably less than a reefer. The rear doors are hinged, each leaf has two locking bars, and a seal runs around the opening. Marker lamps sit on the top corners of the body, with an underrun bar and mudflaps below.

More about the design on the page insulated vans. If you need sub-zero, we add a refrigeration unit.

How this body is built

The project is based on a JAC N35 (2.0 petrol) chassis. Gross weight 3,490 kg — a category B licence is enough.

Body type — insulated body, sandwich panel.

Doors: hinged rear, two locking bars per leaf.

The refrigeration unit is none — the body slows the warming of the loaded goods. Fitted equipment: marker lamps, reflective markings, an underrun bar, mudflaps.

Who it suits

An isothermal body does not produce cold — it slows heat exchange with the outside. Such a van is chosen for short runs and for cargo loaded already chilled: bread, confectionery, drinks, groceries.

We will build the same — to your size and your chassis

This body is not a catalogue item but a project we actually built. We will make the same one to your dimensions: length, width and height are calculated for your cargo and the chassis payload, rather than fitting the cargo to a ready-made size.

We also fit it to your own chassis: bring the vehicle, we take the frame dimensions, build the body, mount it and hand it over with the conversion paperwork.

If you are still choosing a chassis, we have the same body on other bases as well: FAW 1027 (T80), Foton 5163, GAZelle Next A21R32, GAZon NEXT. They differ in payload, frame length and licence category.

FAQ

FAQ about the JAC X200 insulated van

A few hours is the benchmark, and the figure depends not on the body but on conditions: panel thickness, the gap from the outside temperature, how the goods were loaded and how often the doors were opened during the shift. For city rounds, where the vehicle is unloaded within three or four hours, that is enough; for intercity work people take a reefer.
By having a refrigeration unit. An insulated body only holds the temperature it was loaded with, while a reefer creates that temperature and holds it for as long as needed. The body construction is the same — the same sandwich panel — so an insulated van can be fitted with a unit later.
Yes, and it is the usual path: people start with an insulated van and add a unit a season later, when frozen goods appear. The body is ready for it; only the choice of unit model for the volume changes. The whole range is on the pages Elinge and Carrier.
The bar clamps the door top and bottom at once, and the seal around the opening only works when the leaf is pressed evenly. On an insulated van that matters more than on a dry freight body: a finger-wide gap cancels out all the insulation.
The customer took two identical vehicles at once — a common story in distribution when there is more than one route. A standard body repeats exactly: the same doors, hardware and fit-out, which means the same spare parts for both vehicles.
Cheaper than a reefer by the cost of the refrigeration unit and dearer than a dry freight body by the cost of the insulation. The exact price depends on the dimensions and the panel thickness. Leave a request or write on WhatsApp and we will send a quote. COND does not publish prices for bodies.
COND is a factory with its own WMI manufacturer code, so we issue the full set of conversion paperwork and the entry in the vehicle passport.
