Insulated van on an Iveco Daily 50C15 chassis

category Cbody 5,200 mmside door
↔ body 5,200 × 2,200 × 2,200 mm▣ inside ≈ 20 m³

An insulated van on an Italian distribution chassis: a 5.2-metre body 2.2 m wide — exactly two metres inside, so a europallet fits both lengthways and across. There is no refrigeration unit: the panel slows the warming of what was loaded, and the body is prepared for a unit to be fitted. At the rear are hinged doors with a contour seal and folding steps; on the right there is side door: part of the load can be taken off without opening the rear portal. The floor is chequered aluminium, with side underrun protection along both sides.

New Iveco Daily are not currently supplied to Kazakhstan, so we do not build a turnkey truck on this marque. If you already own an Iveco, we will fit the body and the refrigeration unit to it; our other chassis are in the “Vehicles” section.

More about the design on the page insulated vans. If refrigeration is needed later, a unit is fitted to the finished body — Carrier or Elinge.

How this body is built

The vehicle is built on a Iveco Daily 50C15 chassis.

This is a insulated body, sandwich panel; externally the body is 5,200 × 2,200 × 2,200 mm. That leaves 5,000 × 2,000 × 2,000 mm, 100 mm panel inside: the panel thickness is subtracted on every side, floor and ceiling included. Usable volume is ≈ 20 m³ (5,000 × 2,000 × 2,000 mm), counted from the internal dimensions rather than by multiplying the external ones.

The floor is chequered aluminium. Doors: hinged rear.

The refrigeration unit is none fitted; the body is prepared for installation. Fitted equipment: side underrun protection, rear underrun bar.

Why it is built this way

Ribbed aluminium flooring is chosen where cargo moves on trolleys: the sheet takes no moisture, hoses down and does not delaminate under wheels. It is heavier than plywood but outlasts it severalfold.

What is in the photos

  • The whole truck, front three-quarter view
  • The right side: the side door and the body along its full length
  • Rear three-quarter view, doors with a seal around the opening
  • The rear from the other side, reflective markings
  • Doors open: body inside, the ribbed aluminium floor

Who it suits

An isothermal body does not produce cold — it slows heat exchange with the outside. Such a van is chosen for short runs and for cargo loaded already chilled: bread, confectionery, drinks, groceries. Usable volume here is ≈ 20 m³ (5,000 × 2,000 × 2,000 mm) — the block above estimates the load in pallets.

We will build the same — to your size and your chassis

This body is not a catalogue item but a project we actually built. We will make the same one to your dimensions: length, width and height are calculated for your cargo and the chassis payload, rather than fitting the cargo to a ready-made size.

We also fit it to your own chassis: bring the vehicle, we take the frame dimensions, build the body, mount it and hand it over with the conversion paperwork.

If you are still choosing a chassis, we have the same body on other bases as well: FAW 1027 (T80), Foton 5163, GAZelle Next A21R32, GAZon NEXT. They differ in payload, frame length and licence category.

How many pallets fit

A standard 1,200 × 800 mm europallet, single tier, no restacking. Internal dimensions with a 50 mm laying allowance — a pallet will not go in dead tight.

8europallets 1,200 × 800 mm

Inside 5 000 × 2 000 × 2 000 mm · 20,0 m³

The layout scheme is on the right: it shows how the rows sit and how much room is left.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the insulated van on an Iveco Daily

The panel is the same; the difference is the refrigeration unit. An isothermal body makes no cold — it only slows the warming of whatever was loaded into it. If a unit is needed later, it is fitted to the finished body — nothing has to be rebuilt.
The body — yes, the chassis — no. New Iveco Daily trucks are not imported into Kazakhstan. We will build the body onto an Iveco you already own; if the chassis is still to be bought, look at our projects on JAC, Hino and GAZon.
A 1,200 × 800 Euro pallet fits crosswise and an aisle is left between the rows. A 2,200 mm body cannot take that layout — there pallets are loaded lengthwise. The width decides how many pallets fit into the same length.
Category C: the Daily 50C15 has a gross weight of 5.2 tonnes, above the 3,500 kg threshold.
It depends on the panel thickness, the outside temperature and how cold the goods were when loaded. An insulated body does not chill, it slows the warming — enough for city runs, while long summer hauls call for a unit.
So you can take part of the load without opening the whole rear portal: warm air comes in through a small opening instead of the entire rear wall. On a round with a dozen stops that saves both time and temperature.
Yes, if the wheelbase and the weight margin allow. We size the length for the specific chassis — on a short wheelbase a long body overloads the rear axle.
