Insulated van on a JAC N90 chassis

category Cbody up to 6 mside door
⚖ payload 4,300 kg↔ body up to 6 m

An insulated van on the medium-duty JAC N90 is a workhorse for anyone who does not need cold but does need volume and cargo protection. A Cummins ISF3.8 with 152 hp and 491 N·m, air brakes with ABS, 9,030 kg gross weight, 4,300 kg payload. A body of up to six metres with a side door and a retractable step: a round with a dozen stops is done without walking around the truck and without a loading dock.

Who a JAC N90 insulated van suits

A JAC N90 insulated van are taken for cargo that needs protection from heat and cold without active cooling: bread and confectionery, packaging and paper, pharmacy and perfume batches on a short run. The body slows the warming and cooling of the cargo — in summer it keeps the interior from overheating, in winter from freezing.

The chassis payload is 4,300 kg, and an insulated body is lighter than a refrigerated one: without the unit and its frame, more usable load remains than with a reefer on the same N90. If cold is needed after all, the body is fitted with a unit and becomes a refrigerated van — the van itself does not need rebuilding.

Body and lining

A 50, 80 or 100 mm sandwich panel of our own manufacture, frameless — no thermal bridges along the ribs. Inside, the body is lined with galvanised sheet: the walls are flat with no protrusions, it can be hosed down, and a pallet or trolley will not tear the lining during loading. The floor has an anti-slip surface.

Doors and loading

Rear swing doors plus a side door: on a route with frequent stops the order goes out through the side door without opening the whole load space from the rear. Under the rear doors there is a retractable step: it folds into the subframe and does not stick out beyond the outline, but when needed the driver climbs into the body without blocks or a dock. The ceiling light switches on from inside — no need to hold up a phone in the dark.

A COND insulated van — a look at the body and lining

How this body is built

The project is based on a JAC N90 chassis with a 3,845 mm wheelbase. The engine is Cummins ISF3.8s5154 diesel, Euro 5, 152 hp (112 kW). Gross weight 9,030 kg, so the driver needs a category C licence.

Body type: insulated — without a refrigeration unit, external dimensions to suit the job; up to 6 m on this chassis.

The interior lining is galvanised sheet, flat walls with no protrusions. Doors: rear swing doors plus a side door.

Fitted equipment: retractable step, ceiling lighting.

Why it is built this way

Walls and ceiling are lined with galvanised sheet — the factory standard for a van body: it shrugs off moisture, takes a pallet-corner knock and is replaced in sections rather than whole panels.

A side door changes distribution logistics: at each stop you open it rather than the whole rear portal — less cold escapes and the truck can park tight against its neighbour.

We will build the same — to your size and your chassis

This body is not a catalogue item but a project we actually built. We will make the same one to your dimensions: length, width and height are calculated for your cargo and the chassis payload, rather than fitting the cargo to a ready-made size.

We also fit it to your own chassis: bring the vehicle, we take the frame dimensions, build the body, mount it and hand it over with the conversion paperwork.

If you are still choosing a chassis, we have the same body on other bases as well: FAW 1027 (T80), Foton 5163, GAZelle Next A21R32, GAZon NEXT. They differ in payload, frame length and licence category.

FAQ

FAQ about the JAC N90 insulated van

It is the same sandwich-panel body, only without a refrigeration unit. An isothermal body makes no cold — it slows heat exchange with the outside, so cargo loaded chilled warms up slowly. A reefer creates and holds the temperature itself. If cooling is needed later, a unit is added to the body — the van itself does not have to be rebuilt.
The chassis payload is 4,300 kg. An insulated body is lighter than a refrigerated one: without the unit and its frame, more usable load remains than with a reefer on the same chassis.
On this chassis we build bodies up to six metres — the exact length is chosen for the job and fixed by an axle-load calculation. If you need a longer body, look at a JAC N120 or N200.
On a round with a dozen stops the order goes out through the side door without opening the whole load space from the rear: it is faster and less outside air gets in. The driver also does not have to walk around the truck on the roadway.
A retractable step: it folds into the subframe and does not stick out beyond the outline, and when needed the driver climbs into the body without blocks or a dock. On a delivery round without a forklift that saves time at every stop.
Galvanised sheet: the walls are flat with no protrusions, it can be hosed down, and a pallet or trolley will not tear the lining during loading. The floor has an anti-slip surface and the ceiling light switches on from inside.
We price it to the configuration: body length, sandwich-panel thickness, doors, lighting, fit-out. Leave a request or write on WhatsApp — we send separate figures for the body and the installation. COND does not publish body prices.
From 14 working days once the configuration is confirmed. The body and the installation are done in our own shop in Almaty. COND is a plant with its own manufacturer WMI code, so we issue the full set of conversion documents and the entry in the vehicle passport.
