Iveco Daily 45C15 insulated van converted from a panel van

panel vanhigh roofcapsule-type insulationFRP lining

An insulated van without a body on a frame: the cargo area of an Iveco Daily 45C15 panel van is fitted with capsule-type insulation — walls, roof, floor and doors form one closed insulated shell. The inner lining is FRP (fibreglass). An insulated inner door sits in the rear opening. There is no refrigeration unit: the cargo temperature is kept by the insulation.

What was done in the conversion

The base is a production Iveco Daily 45C15 panel van with a high roof. The body is not changed: outside the vehicle remains a standard van, and the insulated capsule is built inside the cargo area.

  • Capsule-type insulation: walls, roof, floor and doors form one closed shell.
  • Inner lining in FRP (fibreglass).
  • Insulated inner door in the rear opening: with the barn doors open, the cargo area stays closed.
  • No refrigeration unit: the van is insulated only.

For chilled or frozen cargo the van is fitted with a refrigeration unit — for example, the Iveco Daily 45C15 reefer with an Alex Original unit. Work sequence, lead times and prices are on the panel van conversion page.

FAQ

FAQ about the Iveco Daily 45C15 insulated van

An insulated van keeps the temperature of loaded cargo by insulation; a reefer maintains it with a refrigeration unit. Chilled or frozen transport requires a reefer.
The walls, roof, floor and doors of the cargo area are insulated as one closed shell without breaks at the joints. The vehicle keeps its factory dimensions; the cargo area loses twice the insulation thickness in each dimension.
FRP (fibreglass): a smooth surface that can be washed with water and detergents and does not rust.
An insulated inner door. It stays closed when the barn doors are open, so the cargo area keeps its temperature during short stops.
From 4 weeks. COND registers the conversion in the vehicle registration document.
Yes: the Hyundai H350 and the JAC M4 are converted in the same way, and with a refrigeration unit — the Iveco Daily 45C15 reefer. Materials, work sequence and prices are on the panel van conversion page.
