Tilt-body truck on a JAC N56 chassis

category Cbolt-together framegalvanised boards
⚖ payload 3,445 kg↔ deck 4,200 mm

A tilt body on the medium-duty JAC N56 — a truck for mixed cargo. A 4,200 mm platform with galvanised drop sides, a bolt-together frame and a tilt on top. The load is shut off from rain, dust and prying eyes, yet it can still be loaded from the side, from above by crane and from the rear — a van cannot do that. A 150 hp diesel and a 3,445 kg payload.

Who a JAC N56 tilt body suits

A tilt body (eurotent) on a JAC N56 is taken when a van is more than you need but an open platform leaves the load exposed. Building materials, packaged furniture, equipment, pallets of consolidated freight — everything that fears rain but needs neither cold nor an airtight box. Take the tilt off and it is an ordinary flatbed for crane loading.

The JAC N56 chassis: an HFC4DE1-1D diesel with Common Rail and SCR, 150 hp and 355 N·m, a six-speed manual, 5,600 kg gross weight and a 3,445 kg payload. Category C. The 4,200 mm deck fits the 4,295 mm frame mounting length with no overhang.

Frame and tilt

Frame bolt-together: the upright posts, longitudinal beams and crossbars bolt together. Bend a post while loading and one part gets replaced, not the whole structure. The tilt is PVC with eyelets and tensioning round the perimeter: the sheet pulls taut, does not flap on the highway and does not chafe against the ribs.

Loading works from three sides. From the side by dropping the board and lifting the curtain, from above by removing the sheet and using a crane or a loader crane, from the rear at a dock. On a route where one stop loads by crane and the next from a dock, that settles it.

Platform

The sides are galvanised drop sides on reinforced hinges with latches. The deck is flat along its whole length, so a pallet rides without skew. An aluminium side guard runs along the frame below, to the safety requirements. Side height and deck length are chosen for the load, and the axle-load calculation is done before work starts.

How this body is built

The body is built on a JAC N56 chassis with a 3,360 mm, mounting length 4,295 mm wheelbase. The engine is HFC4DE1-1D diesel, Common Rail + SCR, Euro 5, 150 hp (110 kW). Gross weight 5,600 kg, so the driver needs a category C licence.

We will build the same — to your size and your chassis

This body is not a catalogue item but a project we actually built. We will make the same one to your dimensions: length, width and height are calculated for your cargo and the chassis payload, rather than fitting the cargo to a ready-made size.

We also fit it to your own chassis: bring the vehicle, we take the frame dimensions, build the body, mount it and hand it over with the conversion paperwork.

If you are still choosing a chassis, we have the same body on other bases as well: DongFeng C120L, HINO 300 615, Hino 500. They differ in payload, frame length and licence category.

FAQ

FAQ about the JAC N56 tilt body

Loading. A van loads only from the rear; a tilt body loads from the side along its whole length, from above by crane and from the rear at a dock. The tilt comes off and an ordinary flatbed remains. You pay for it in sealing: a tilt keeps out rain and dust but holds no temperature.
The chassis payload is 3,445 kg. A platform with a frame and a tilt is lighter than a van, so more is left for the load than with an insulated or refrigerated body on the same chassis.
As standard 4,200 mm: the frame mounting length is 4,295 mm, so the platform fits with no overhang. Deck length and side height are chosen for the load — the axle-load calculation comes before work starts.
The posts, longitudinal beams and crossbars bolt together instead of being welded into one structure. Bend a post while loading and one part gets replaced. Repairs are cheaper and quicker.
The sheet is PVC with eyelets and tensioning round the perimeter. It pulls taut, does not flap on the highway and does not chafe against the frame ribs. If damaged it is replaced separately from the frame.
Yes, that is what the design is for. Take the sheet off and you have a flatbed for crane work and long loads. Putting it back takes the same time.
We price by configuration: deck length, side height, frame, tilt sheet and fittings. Leave a request or write on WhatsApp and we will send the calculation. COND does not publish prices for bodies.
Category C: the gross weight is 5,600 kg, above the 3,500 kg threshold. If you need a vehicle for an ordinary category B licence, look at bodies on the FAW 1027 or JAC N35.
