Who a HINO 300 curtain-side suits

A curtain-side flatbed on a HINO 300 (615) is taken when a van is overkill but an open bed leaves the load unprotected. Building materials, packed furniture, equipment, pallets of groupage — everything that fears rain but needs no cold or airtight seal. The HINO 300 in model 615: 3-tonne payload, Euro 5, category C — a light delivery class that fits where an eight-tonner is already too big.

How a sliding curtain differs from an ordinary tent

An ordinary tent is stretched over the frame and comes off as a whole: to load from the side you have to unlash the sheet along its full length. A sliding curtain runs on rollers in a top rail — the driver pulls it aside in ten seconds and puts the pallet in on forks straight from the ground. On a multi-drop route that saves a quarter of an hour at each stop.

How it loads

From three sides. From the side by sliding the curtain on either wall, from above by removing the sheet and using a crane or a loader arm, from the rear through the swing doors at a dock. The rear doors here are steel rather than fabric: the load at the tail stays dry and the doors take a padlock.

What can be changed for your load

Deck length and side height are chosen to fit your pallet, and the sheet can be any colour in the PVC range (this truck is red at the customer’s request).
