This chassis is not currently supplied to Kazakhstan. Hino is not imported into the country, so the project cannot be repeated on the HINO 300 itself. The same a curtain-side goes on available chassis — the JAC N56, JAC N120 or Foton — we will pick an equivalent for your load.

A flatbed with a frame and a tent: drop-down aluminium sides 400 mm high, a demountable frame and a removable sheet — so the truck loads from above by crane, from the side and from the rear. Timber rails run along the walls inside: the sheet does not tear against them and straps tie to them. The tent roof is translucent heavy-duty PVC, so the body is lit in daylight without a lamp.

How this body is built

The vehicle is built on a HINO 300, model 917 chassis. The engine is 4-litre turbodiesel, 165 hp, Euro 5.

External body dimensions — 5,200 × 2,200 × 2,200 mm. That leaves 5,150 × 2,150 × 2,150 mm, 25 mm panel inside: the panel thickness is subtracted on every side, floor and ceiling included. Usable volume is 23.8 m³, counted from the internal dimensions rather than by multiplying the external ones. In a single tier that is 10 europallets.

This body is not a catalogue item but a project we actually built. We will make the same one to your dimensions: length, width and height are calculated for your cargo and the chassis payload, rather than fitting the cargo to a ready-made size.

We also fit it to your own chassis: bring the vehicle, we take the frame dimensions, build the body, mount it and hand it over with the conversion paperwork.

How many pallets fit

A standard 1,200 × 800 mm europallet, single tier, no restacking. Internal dimensions with a 50 mm laying allowance — a pallet will not go in dead tight.

Who the HINO 300 curtain-side suits

Curtain-side on HINO 300 is chosen when a box body is overkill but an open platform leaves the load exposed. Building materials, packaged furniture, equipment, pallets of mixed freight — everything that fears rain but needs no cold or airtightness. Take the tilt off and it is an ordinary the side platform for a crane. The chassis is a HINO 300 in model 917: a 4-litre turbodiesel with 165 hp, a six-speed manual, 5 tonnes of chassis payload and a category C licence.

Frame and tilt

The frame is demountable: uprights, longitudinal beams and cross members bolt together. The body is 5,200 × 2,200 × 2,200 mm and the sides are 400 mm aluminium — lighter than steel at the same strength. Bend an upright during loading and you replace one part, not the whole structure. The tent roof is translucent heavy-duty PVC: in daylight it is bright inside, the loader needs no lamp, and box labels are readable at the unload. Timber rails run along the walls inside: the sheet does not chafe against them and straps tie to them easily.

How it loads

From three sides. From the side by dropping the panel and lifting the curtain, from above by removing the sheet and using a crane or a lorry loader, and from the rear at a dock. On a route where one stop loads by crane and the next from a dock, that settles it.

Hino chassis cannot be imported right now

Hino is not supplied to Kazakhstan, so the vehicle cannot be repeated on the HINO 300 itself. The body transfers to available chassis of the same class — the JAC N56, JAC N120 or Foton: the subframe changes, deck length and side height are matched to the load, and axle-load calculations are done before work starts. FAQ about the HINO 300 curtain-side

Not on the HINO 300 itself: Hino is not currently supplied to Kazakhstan. The body transfers to available chassis of the same class — the JAC N56, JAC N120 or Foton. The frame, tilt and side layout carry over exactly; only the subframe and deck length change to suit the frame.
A box body is a rigid shell: it holds its shape but loads only from the rear and through a side door. A curtain-side loads from three sides and from above by crane, and with the tilt off it is an ordinary the side platform. In exchange it holds no temperature and is not airtight: for cold you need an insulated or refrigerated body.
In daylight the body is lit without a lamp: the loader sees where he is putting things and can read the labels on the boxes. A small thing, but at a 6 a.m. unload it saves minutes at every stop. The roof sheet is heavy-duty PVC — it lets light through without showing the load to passers-by.
They are the lashing rails: the tilt sheet does not chafe against them and straps tie easily. The load is secured to the rail rather than the frame, so the frame stays intact.
Yes, that is what the design is for. The sheet comes off and the frame unbolts, leaving a the side platform for a crane or lorry loader.
