COND, a plant in Almaty (1 Kazybayev Street), builds insulated vans (thermo box bodies) on Mercedes-Benz. Two 5,200 mm bodies have been built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter: with a 100 mm panel (≈ 22.6 m³) and with FRP fibreglass lining outside and inside, 80 mm panel (≈ 23.7 m³).

A 5,200 mm body for category B: with a 100 mm panel — 5,000 × 2,050 × 2,200 mm inside, ≈ 22.6 m³; with FRP lining and an 80 mm panel — 5,040 × 2,100 × 2,240 mm, ≈ 23.7 m³.
An insulated van does not produce cold itself — it only slows the heating or cooling of the cargo; a refrigerated truck is the same insulated body with a refrigeration unit that holds the set mode.
Usually 50–80 mm. If a refrigeration unit will be fitted to the body later, the panel is chosen as for a refrigerated truck — 80–100 mm. Usable volume is calculated from the internal dimensions: the panel takes up its thickness on every side, including the floor and ceiling.
Yes, if the body is insulated and airtight: the unit is mounted on a finished insulated body, and the van becomes a refrigerated truck. The model is selected by body volume.
Yes. The chassis is delivered to Almaty, the body is built to fit it and mounted on a subframe. The factory warranty on the chassis is retained; the design change is documented.
From 14 working days. The exact time is given on request, once the body dimensions and panel thickness are determined.
