A 2000 mm galvanised tube — the lock bar itself. It is cut to the door height and the cams fit on its ends. Two metres covers a body door up to 2000 mm tall.

The plating matters more than it seems: the bar turns in its bearings all the time, and paint wears off there within a season while zinc holds.
