A roller bumper: instead of a solid rubber pad, a rotating roller on a Ø24 mm axle in a steel housing. On touching the dock the body rolls along it instead of jamming, and the impact turns into rolling.
This is the part for vehicles that dock dozens of times a shift: a solid bumper breaks up in a season on that duty, a roller lasts.
