A plate for the body U-bolt: 120 × 60 mm, 8 mm thick, with two holes for the legs of the U-bolt. It sits on top of the subframe and the nuts are tightened through it.
Without the plate the clamping load lands on the small patch under the nut and crushes the subframe; the fixing then loosens and the body starts to move on the chassis. It is included with the U-bolt, and is also sold separately as a consumable when a body is re-mounted.
