TM13 is one of the most common and reliable compressors in transport refrigeration. Suitable for refrigeration units Carrier, Elinge, Thermo King and other units that use an open belt-driven compressor. Versions differ in pulley (2A V-belt or 8PK poly-V), port position (rear vertical or rear horizontal straight) and 12/24 V clutch voltage — specify your unit's configuration when ordering.
Important note on oil: a new compressor ships with shipping oil (factory preservation). When installing and charging the system, oil must be added per your refrigeration unit manual: the type (POE oil for R404A) and the amount are set by the unit manufacturer. Before start-up, release the nitrogen from the housing and turn the clutch pressure plate by hand 5–6 times to clear oil from the cylinders.
Manufacturer's installation recommendations: the compressor is mounted with fittings facing up (rotation tolerance ±45°, axis tilt no more than ±10°), pulley alignment within 1 mm, speed no higher than 6,000 rpm. When installed into a previously operated system, the oil amount is balanced per the unit's manual; if the circuit is contaminated, flushing and filter-drier replacement are mandatory.
We supply genuine compressors in factory packaging, with nitrogen holding charge and shipping oil — never disassembled, no swapped components.
No warranty is provided on the compressor. The compressor operates inside a refrigeration system whose condition we do not control: dirty oil, an incorrect refrigerant charge or lack of oil can destroy a sound compressor in a short time. That is why correct installation and charging per the unit's manual are decisive — this work is done by the installer. When installed at the COND workshop, we warrant the installation work.
